<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the percentage of positive and negative emotional quotient of students in class XII IPA at one of the high schools in Jayapura City on chemistry learning. The techniques used in data collection were questionnaires, interviews, observation, and documentation involving 39 students as respondents. The questionnaire instrument used was 175 items in the form of a closed questionnaire which was compiled based on content validity and tasted for reliability with a reliability coefficient is r11 = 0.96 and included in the very high category. Research data shows that students have an average percentage of emotional quotient is 55.37% in the sufficient category. The average percentage oh positive emotions is 61.80% in the moderate category with the percentages of happy, brave, compassion, and love emotions respectively is 74.30, 47.86, 61.37, and 63.68%. the average percentage of negative emotions is 51.90% in the moderate category with percentages of anger, sadness, fear, embarrassment, and disgust respectively is 41.85, 49.44, 62.48, 54.65, and 51.07%.
