<![CDATA[The discourse of gender identity in the interpretation of the Qur'an has become a crucial issue as awareness of gender inequality in Muslim society increases. This phenomenon is notable because traditional interpretations are often patriarchally biased, fueling demands for more inclusive hermeneutics. This study aims to analyze Aḥmad Muṣṭafā al-Marāghī's hermeneutic approach in interpreting gender verses, as well as evaluate his contribution to the discourse on gender equality in Islam. The method employed is a critical analysis of Tafsīr al-Marāghī, utilizing an interdisciplinary approach that combines the study of religion, gender, and hermeneutics. The results of the study show that al-Marāghī developed a contextual method of " maqāṣidī interpretation", deconstructing traditional gender narratives and opening up a space for negotiation between sacred texts and social realities. The main findings reveal that gender identity is dynamic in its interpretation, influenced by the interaction of texts, readers, and socio-historical contexts. The contribution of this research lies in enriching modern interpretation theory with an inclusive framework, as well as providing practical recommendations for Islamic education curricula and gender justice policy advocacy.]]>
