Arm muscle power is an essential component of physical fitness in Tarung Derajat because it enables athletes to execute fast, strong, accurate, and efficient strikes during competition while minimizing the risk of injury. This study aimed to determine the effect of circuit-based weight training on improving arm muscle power in Tarung Derajat athletes. The study employed an experimental method using a pretest-posttest control group design. The instrument used to measure arm muscle power was the medicine ball throw test. The participants consisted of 16 active Tarung Derajat athletes from Bandung who were divided into experimental and control groups through total sampling and ordinal pairing based on pretest results. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality tests, paired sample t-tests, and independent sample t-tests. The results showed that circuit-based weight training had a significant effect on improving the athletes’ arm muscle power. Therefore, the circuit method can be recommended as an effective and efficient training program for enhancing arm muscle power in Tarung Derajat athletes.
