Abstract

The risk of injury to athletes tends to be greater during competition. This study aims to determine the characteristics of sports injuries that are dominantly experienced by athletic athletes in Papua. This study uses descriptive quantitative research with survey methods. The population in this study were 409 athletes. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling with the provisions of athletes who entered the final round in throwing as many as 93 athletes. The data collection technique uses a sports injury identification questionnaire for athletes. The results of data analysis show that the characteristics of sports injuries based on the type of injury are sprain 64.5%, strain 47.3%, lesions 28%, bruises 9.7%, and dislocation 3.2%. Injury characteristics based on injury location occurred in the ankle at 59.2%, lower extremity 42%, upper extremity 21.5%, and toe 23.6%. Injury characteristics based on the cause of injury are dominant due to overuse at 40%, less than optimal warm-up 25%, technical errors 22%, collisions 5%, facilities and infrastructure do not support 5%, and other causes 3%. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the dominant injury characteristics experienced by athletes are sprain caused by overuse and most athletes experience more than two types of injuries.

Abstract

Learning outcomes are a necessity that needs to be achieved optimally in every lesson. However, not all students can realize their desire to obtain optimal learning outcomes. Therefore, through writing this article it aims to analyze the increase in student learning outcomes in physical education philosophy lectures through the application of the RADEC learning model. The chosen research method is classroom action research. As many as 30 students were involved in this study as research subjects. Data was collected using techniques and instruments in the form of observation, written tests, and interviews. Data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of the study revealed that student learning outcomes in cycle 1 had an average value of 67.53; and classical completeness of 60%. The results of the study in cycle 2 increased the mean score to 73.73 and classical completeness to 96.67%. From the results of the study, it was concluded that the application of the RADEC learning model was proven to be able to improve physical education student learning outcomes in physical education philosophy lectures. It is recommended that lecturers implement this learning model in different subjects.

Abstract

Anxiety harms athlete performance during competition. Therefore, every athlete is required to have a strategy in overcoming the anxiety they experience. Through writing this article it aims to analyze the anxiety coping of karate athletes at Lemkari College, Bengkulu City. This research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The research population consisted of all athletes who took part in open tournament competitions and the KKI XII 2023 festival with a total of 21 athletes. Sampling using total sampling. Research data was collected using research techniques and instruments in the form of a questionnaire. Data analysis uses simple statistics in the form of percentage descriptive quantitative analysis. The results of the study illustrate that athletes use 4 types of strategies to managing anxiety, namely: psychological skill training at 85.71%; reading new opponents at 71.43%; understanding the conditions at 90.48%; and studying the opponent at 85.71%. So, it can be concluded that karate athletes have an excellent strategy for overcoming anxiety by understanding the conditions during the match.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to know the physical activity of students Sports Science Department, Universitas Negeri Semarang, class of 2022 during the covid-19 pandemic.The survey method uses a questionnaire in the form of a google form. The instrument used is the Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ) from WHO. Data collection was carried out in December 2022 using total sampling in sampling. The analysis in this study uses the help of SPPS and Microsoft Excel. The results of this study indicate that physical activity is included in the high category. The physical activity of male students has details of 7.1% in the low category, 27.4% in the medium category, and 65.5% in the high category. Meanwhile, female students have a breakdown of 8.6 % in the low category, 34.3% in the medium category, and 57.1% in the high category. This is due to the loosening of regulations from the government in dealing with Covid-19 which have slowly improved so that students can carry out physical activities more freely.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the factors that influence entrepreneurial interest among sports students at Jambi University. Entrepreneurship in sports has the potential to develop creativity, innovation, and contribute to the sports industry. This research method uses a quantitative approach using questionnaires distributed to 207 sports student respondents consisting of two sports study programs at Jambi University: the Sports and Health Education Study Program and the Sports Coaching Study Program. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques and regression analysis to identify the relationships between related variables. The results show that there are significant factors that influence entrepreneurial interest in sports students. Factors such as entrepreneurial education, previous entrepreneurial experience, perceptions of entrepreneurial risk, and social support positively influence entrepreneurial interest. Achievement, motivation, and creativity have also been proven to have a significant influence on entrepreneurial interest. This research contributes to the understanding of entrepreneurial interest among sports students at Jambi University. The findings of this study can be used as a basis for developing appropriate education and support programs to encourage entrepreneurial interest and development of entrepreneurial potential among sports students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that success in futsal is strongly influenced by the technical, tactical and physical abilities of athletes. However, besides these factors, psychological factors can also play an important role in influencing the performance of futsal athletes. Two psychological aspects that can affect athlete performance are Self-Esteem and motivation. This study aims to determine: Is there a relationship between Self-Esteem and the performance of futsal athletes in Sumedang Regency. This research is a correlational study with a cross sectional approach. The research sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique, the number of samples used was 12 futsal athletes in Sumedang Regency. Analysis of the data used is the correlation test and hypothesis testing. The results showed: (1) There is a significant relationship between Self-Esteem and the performance of futsal athletes in Sumedang Regency; (2) There is a significant relationship between motivation and performance of futsal athletes in Sumedang Regency. (3) There is a significant relationship between Self-Esteem and motivation with the performance of futsal athletes in Sumedang Regency

Abstract

This research is motivated by the attempt to integrate life skills into a primary role in education encompassing eight essential components. The research objectives are to understand the portrayal of students' life skills education at SMP Negeri 3 Cikarang Utara and SMPIT Aqidah, and to identify the differences in life skills scores between students participating in sports and non-sports extracurricular activities in both public and private schools. This study employs a descriptive-causal method with a sample of 35 students (Group A) and 35 students (Group B) from SMPN 3 Cikarang Utara, and 49 students (Group C) and 49 students (Group D) from SMPIT Aqidah. Data collection techniques involve using questionnaires, followed by data analysis through t-test to determine the differences. The findings reveal that the average score for Group A is 141.25 (81%), categorized as strong life skills. Group B averages 136.80 (76%), also categorized as strong. Group C averages 201.1 (84%), demonstrating strong life skills, while Group D averages 181.93 (74%), similarly categorized as strong. Furthermore, the results of the independent t-test indicate no significant difference between Groups A and C, and no significant difference between Groups B and D for both schools. In conclusion, from the two schools, the attainment of life skills scores through sports extracurricular activities is higher than non-sports activities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the status of the physical condition component of speed with a unit of time in women's volleyball athletes KKO Semarang City. This research is a quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The sampling technique uses total sampling with a sample of volleyball athletes who are female as many as 17 people. The data retrieval instrument uses a 30-meter sprint test. The results showed that the physical condition component of speed in women's volleyball athletes in KKO Semarang City was in a fairly good category. The conclusion of this study is that there is a need to increase the speed of athletes so that athletes can be more optimal when playing

Abstract

a cultural tourism attraction, this can be seen from the several heritage buildings of Hindu and Buddhist history and religion which have high historical and cultural values. The most significant cultural tourism objects in Kananta Village are found in Soromandi District, Bima Regency. Wadu pa'a Cultural Tourism can actually be developed into sports tourism because it has great potential as an attraction and a means of regional promotion. People who come to witness an event or championship can also have a tour while people who watch the championship through television viewing will be interested in visiting the area. The purpose of this research is to analyze the potential of wadu pa'a for the development of sports tourism. This study used a qualitative descriptive method through direct observation with research related parties. While the analytical method used is the analysis of Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threats (SWOT). Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat (SWOT) analysis is used to analyze potentials and problems in culture-based tourism and local wisdom at each research location including internal and external potentials and problems. Based on the results of the analysis that wadu pa'a cultural tourism has the potential to be developed into sports tourism.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of badminton students by using bokortasko tools. This research is a collaborative classroom action research with four stage steps, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. In this research is carried out through the stages of pre-cycle, cycle 1 and cycle 2. In the pre-cycle skill test scores were 47.40% (low), learning outcomes were 20.58% (complete), and affective students were 49.99% (less active). In the first cycle the skill test score was 63.39% (moderate), the learning outcomes were 64.71% (complete), and the affective students were 62.65% (quite active). And in cycle II skill test scores of 82.88% (high), learning outcomes of 85.29% (complete), and affective students 82.70% (very active). So it can be concluded through the modification of bokortasko aids can improve stud ent learning outcomes, this can be seen from the actions carried out each cycle has increased significantly and the use of bokortasko aids can help students learn and practice service techniques and lob strokes so that they have an impact on student learning success.
