This study aimed to examine the effect of small-sided games (SSG) training on improving passing accuracy among futsal players at Sriwijaya University. The research employed a quantitative experimental approach using a one-group pretest–posttest design. The participants were 20 students who were active members of the university futsal student activity unit and were selected through purposive sampling. Passing accuracy was measured using a validated and reliable passing accuracy test. The SSG training program was implemented for six weeks, with three training sessions conducted each week. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality and homogeneity tests, and a paired sample t-test to determine the effectiveness of the intervention. The findings demonstrated a significant increase in passing accuracy scores after the training program (p < 0.05). Furthermore, the calculated effect size was 1.95, indicating a very large practical effect of the intervention. These results suggest that small-sided games training is an effective method for enhancing passing accuracy in futsal players and can be recommended as an alternative training strategy for university-level futsal programs.
