<![CDATA[This community service activity aimed to promote language politeness among elementary school children at AM Educenter Reading Park, Depok. Language politeness is an important aspect in developing effective communication skills and fostering positive attitudes in daily interactions. The methods employed in this program were lectures and discussions using a pragmatic teaching approach. Learning media in the form of pictures were utilized to support the teaching process and to suit the characteristics of elementary school students. The results showed that the participants gained knowledge and practical experience regarding the use of polite language in various communication contexts. Furthermore, the children were able to apply polite language when interacting with peers, younger children, and older people. Their ability to use polite language was also reflected in writing activities. In addition, the program increased the participants’ motivation to consistently use polite language in everyday life. As a result, the activity successfully fostered positive language attitudes and improved the communication skills of elementary school children in accordance with language politeness norms. Therefore, community-based language education can serve as an effective strategy to strengthen children’s communication competence and social interaction skills.]]>
