Collaboration is a crucial competency in vocational education that emphasizes practical work and job readiness. This study addresses the limited research on the impact of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) on students’ collaborative skills in business text translation. The study aims to explore students’ perceptions of PjBL implementation, analyze its influence on their collaboration, and identify implementation challenges. A qualitative case study approach was used, involving 28 students from the English for Business and Professional Communication Program at Politeknik Negeri Jakarta. These students took part in two integrated courses: Business Text Translation and Introduction to Translation Tools. Data were collected through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews, then analyzed descriptively and thematically. The findings reveal that PjBL encourages active participation, fair task distribution, independent conflict resolution, and shared responsibility in translation projects. Student collaboration developed naturally through authentic teamwork resembling real-world translation practices. PjBL is perceived as effective in enhancing interpersonal skills and preparing vocational students for the professional workplace.
