<![CDATA[This research was conducted because many tenth-grade students at SMK Muhammadiyah Kramat still exhibit verbally aggressive behavior, such as teasing, insulting, threatening, shouting, and using harsh words in daily interactions. Unmanaged verbally aggressive behavior can negatively affect interpersonal relationships, classroom climate, and students’ emotional development. This study aims to identify students’ verbally aggressive behavior before participating in group counseling services, examine differences in behavior levels before and after the intervention, and determine the effectiveness of group counseling in reducing such behavior among tenth-grade students. The study employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of eight students categorized as having high and very high levels of verbally aggressive behavior. Data were collected through questionnaires, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Results indicated that before the intervention, three students (37.5%) were in the high category and five students (62.5%) were in the very high category. After participating in group counseling, behavior decreased significantly, with six students (75%) in the low category and two students (25%) in the very low category. The test result showed a significance value of 0.001, which is lower than 0.05, indicating a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. Thus, group counseling services are effective in reducing verbally aggressive behavior among students.]]>
