Exclusive breastfeeding plays an important role in supporting infant growth, development, and immune function. Although the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in the working area of the Loa Kulu Community Health Center is relatively good, some breastfeeding mothers still experience emotional barriers during the breastfeeding period. A lack of emotional support from husbands—such as attention, empathy, and motivation—is suspected to influence mothers’ confidence in providing exclusive breastfeeding. This study aims to explore the role of husbands’ emotional support in strengthening mothers’ self-efficacy during exclusive breastfeeding. This research used a phenomenological qualitative approach with in-depth interviews with breastfeeding mothers in the Loa Kulu Community Health Center area. The findings show that husbands’ emotional support in the form of encouragement, companionship, attention, and assistance in dealing with breastfeeding difficulties acts as cues to action that enhance mothers’ confidence in providing exclusive breastfeeding. Such support helps mothers maintain motivation and self-confidence throughout the breastfeeding process. In conclusion, husbands’ emotional support is an important factor in strengthening maternal self-efficacy and supporting the success of exclusive breastfeeding.
