Indonesia's National Health Insurance (JKN), administered by BPJS Kesehatan, aims to provide equitable healthcare access for all citizens. As the number of participants continues to increase, improving healthcare service quality and patient satisfaction has become essential for ensuring the program's sustainability. This study aimed to identify the determinants of patient satisfaction among BPJS Kesehatan participants through a literature review. A literature review was conducted by analyzing 10 articles published between 2021 and 2026 and retrieved from Google Scholar. The selected studies were synthesized using a descriptive approach. Patient satisfaction was influenced by patient characteristics, particularly age and gender, healthcare service quality based on the SERVQUAL dimensions (tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy), and the quality of digital services provided through the Mobile JKN application. Most studies reported a significant relationship between service quality and patient satisfaction. Furthermore, the ease of use and accessibility of the Mobile JKN application positively affected participants' satisfaction. Patient satisfaction among BPJS Kesehatan participants is determined by multiple factors. Improving service quality across all SERVQUAL dimensions and optimizing Mobile JKN services are essential to enhance patient satisfaction and support the successful implementation of the National Health Insurance program.
