Kelurahan Sarimatondang has abundant corn cobs as a local agricultural resource, but their utilization remains limited, with some waste commonly discarded or burned. This condition indicates the need for an alternative approach that can transform local agricultural waste into a more productive resource while increasing community knowledge. This community service activity aimed to provide education on the utilization of corn cobs as a growing medium for janggel mushrooms and introduce a practical business module as a learning resource for the community. The activity was implemented through several stages, consisting of identifying local potential and problems, preparing the janggel mushroom business module, delivering educational materials, conducting discussions and mentoring, evaluating community understanding, and providing follow-up access to the module. The results showed that the activity provided additional knowledge to the community regarding the potential use of corn cobs for mushroom cultivation and introduced opportunities for their productive utilization. The business module also served as a reusable learning medium to support further community understanding. Overall, the activity achieved its educational objective by introducing an alternative use of locally available resources and encouraging the community to view agricultural waste as a potential productive resource.
