<![CDATA[The selection of accurate and credible information plays a vital role in fostering political awareness amongst students. This study aims to understand the perceptions of PPKn Untirta students regarding the role of the Instagram account @narasinewsroom as a source of political education. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that the Instagram account @narasinewsroom is perceived positively as a source of informal political education. This perception is evident from the students assessment of the information as up-to-date, factual, data driven, and presented in simple, communicative language. The use of engaging visuals and straightforward narratives helps students understand complex political issues and concepts, thereby enhancing their political knowledge and understanding. The use of this account also encourages students to question, evaluate and verify the information they receive. The understanding that develops subsequently fosters a critical attitude amongst students towards public policies and issues, whilst also raising awareness of the importance of participation in democratic life. This awareness is evident through students’ interest in political issues, their involvement in discussions and the expression of their opinions.]]>
