Improper disposal of household used cooking oil poses environmental pollution and health risks, while the potential of local resources such as lemongrass remains underutilized. This community service program aims to increase public awareness regarding the dangers of used cooking oil, provide technical skills to process waste into economically valuable aromatherapy candles, and foster the entrepreneurial spirit through a circular economy approach. The program was conducted on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Pagersari VillageĀ with the participation of 33 youth organization members. The implementation method utilized a participatory learning approach consisting of coordination, educational socialization, practical hands-on production testing two formulations, and evaluation using pre-test and post-test instruments. The results demonstrated a significant increase in participants' knowledge across all measured indicators, with the highest knowledge gain reaching 66.7% in understanding the production steps and the utilization of lemongrass as a natural fragrance. Furthermore, the program successfully developed two distinct candle formulations offering alternative aesthetic and economical characteristics. This initiative effectively transformed the youth organization into a productive economic driver while promoting creative eco-friendly business opportunities in Pagersari Village.
