This study aimed to examine the relationship between arm muscle strength and hand-eye coordination with long serve ability in badminton among extracurricular students at SMAN 1 Gerung. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The sample consisted of 30 extracurricular participants who completed three measurements: a 1-minute push-up test for arm muscle strength, a 30-second wall-toss test for hand-eye coordination, and a long-serve test with 10 attempts. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Spearman correlation, and multiple linear regression. The findings showed that arm muscle strength had a significant positive relationship with long serve ability (rho = 0.961; p < 0.001), hand-eye coordination had a significant positive relationship with long serve ability (rho = 0.949; p < 0.001), and both variables jointly showed a significant relationship with long serve ability (R = 0.927; R2 = 0.859; F = 82.500; p < 0.001). In conclusion, arm muscle strength and hand-eye coordination are important predictors of badminton long serve ability; therefore, extracurricular coaching should integrate arm strength training, visual-motor coordination drills, and target-based long serve practice.
