This study aimed to develop and evaluate an interactive medicinal plant booklet that integrates a school medicinal garden with Augmented Reality (AR) for contextual biology learning. The research employed a Research and Development approach using the ADDIE model and was conducted from January to May 2026 with 32 Grade X students at SMAN Taruna Kasuari Nusantara, West Papua. The booklet presents five medicinal plants turmeric (Curcuma longa), lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus), ginger (Zingiber officinale), kencur (Kaempferia galanga), and galangal (Alpinia galanga) designed in Canva and integrated with three-dimensional AR content through Assemblr Edu. Data were obtained from expert validation, student-response questionnaires, pretest and posttest scores, teacher interviews, and documentation. Material validity reached 97.73% and media validity 98.86%, both categorized as very valid. Student responses (n = 29) reached 86.81% (very practical), with ease of AR use receiving 93.10%. The reported mean score increased from 68.13 on the pretest to 90.63 on the posttest, with an N-Gain of 0.71 (high) and classical mastery of 78.13%. These findings indicate that combining a local school learning resource, an interactive booklet, and AR can support more contextual, interactive, and technology-enhanced biology learning.
