This study aimed to evaluate the effect of adding fermented Eucheuma cottonii seaweed in concentrate on blood parameters of Bali heifers fed a combination of kume grass silage and corn fodder. The experimental animals used were Bali heifers with an average body weight of 133.4 kg, using the Latin Square Design (LSD) method with four treatments and four periods. The treatments consisted of fermented Eucheuma cottonii in concentrate at levels of 5% (Ec5), 10% (Ec10), 15% (Ec15), and 20% (Ec 20). The measured parameters included total plasma protein, hemoglobin, hematocrit, erythrocytes, and leukocytes. The data obtained were tabulated and analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by Duncan’s multiple range test. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the treatments had no significant effect (P>0.05) on total plasma protein, hemoglobin, hematocrit, erythrocytes, and leukocytes. Therefore, it can be concluded that the inclusion of fermented Eucheuma cottonii seaweed in the concentrate did not increase total plasma protein, hemoglobin, hematocrit, erythrocyte, or leukocyte concentration of Bali heifers fed a basal diet of kume grass silage and corn fodder.
