This experimental research aims to determine the effect of the Picture and Picture cooperative learning model on the narrative text writing skills of fifth-grade elementary school students. The sample consisted of class VA (28 students) as the experimental class and class VB (28 students) as the control class at SDN Guntur 01, Setiabudi District, South Jakarta, selected using cluster random sampling. The method used was quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest two group control design. Data were collected through a narrative text writing test, then tested for normality (Liliefors test) and homogeneity (Levene test) as data requirement tests, both of which showed normal and homogeneous results. Hypothesis testing using the independent sample t-test obtained tcount > ttable, namely 5.200 > 2.005, with a significance value of 0.003 < 0.05, so H1 was accepted. The mean posttest score of the experimental class (28.32) was higher than that of the control class (24.96). The research results show that the Picture and Picture cooperative learning model has a significant effect on the narrative text writing skills of fifthgrade elementary school students in Setiabudi District, South Jakarta. These findings indicate that the Picture and Picture cooperative learning model can serve as an alternative learning approach to improve students' narrative text writing skills.
