The low numeracy literacy skills of elementary school students require the application of meaningful and contextual learning experiences in the learning process. This study aims to improve the numeracy literacy skills of fifth-grade students at SDN 02 Manisrejo thru the implementation of Project Based Learning (PjBL) based on tiered projects with a Deep Learning approach. The tiered projects are designed so that each project in each cycle is interconnected, allowing students to build understanding gradually. Classroom Action Research (CAR) was used in this study, which was conducted in two cycles with 24 fifth-grade students as subjects. Data were collected thru tests, observation sheets, and documentation, and then analyzed descriptively both quantitatively and qualitatively. The research results indicate that the mastery of numeracy literacy skills increased from 33.33% in the pre-cycle to 62.5% in the first cycle and reached 87.5% in the second cycle. The observation results also show an increase in student activity, participation, and cooperation during the learning process. This research explains that project-based learning with a Deep Learning approach effectively improves numeracy literacy skills while also providing an alternative learning method that supports a gradual, meaningful, and contextual learning experience for elementary school students.
