Critical thinking skills among elementary school students in IPAS learning have not yet developed optimally, while the use of contextual digital learning media has also not been fully utilized. This study aimed to develop an e-comic media based on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), determine its feasibility and practicality, and analyze its effectiveness in improving the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model. The subjects consisted of 27 fourth-grade students at SDN Mekarmukti 04. Data were collected through expert validation, teacher and student response questionnaires, and tests in the form of pretests and posttests. The validation results showed that the media obtained feasibility percentages of 95% from media experts, 92.5% from language experts, and 92.5% from material experts, all of which were categorized as very feasible. The practicality of the media obtained a 100% response from the teacher and 91.94% from the students. The average critical thinking skill score increased from 41.11 in the pretest to 82.22 in the posttest, with an N-Gain score of 0.70 or 70%, which was categorized as moderate. Therefore, the ESD-based e-comic media was considered very feasible, highly practical, and moderately effective for use in IPAS learning to support the improvement of elementary school students' critical thinking skills.
