This study aimed to develop Pop Up Book learning media to improve the reading skills of first-grade elementary school students and to determine its feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The subjects were 23 first-grade students at SD Islam Nadindra. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, documentation, pretests, and posttests. The data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis, N-Gain, and the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The results showed that the Pop Up Book media obtained feasibility scores of 92.5% from the media expert, 97.5% from the language expert, and 91.67% from the material expert, categorized as very feasible. Teacher and student responses were 95% and 90.87%, respectively, categorized as very good. The students’ average reading score increased from 52.17 in the pretest to 76.09 in the posttest, with an N-Gain score of 0.57, categorized as moderate. The Wilcoxon test obtained a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Thus, the developed Pop Up Book media is feasible, practical, and effective for improving first-grade students’ reading skills.
