Community understanding of legal aid and the existence of Legal Aid Posts (Posbakum) remains one of the challenges in fulfilling community access to justice. This condition was also found among the residents of Talang Village, Bayat District, Klaten Regency, particularly those living around Bangsal RW 04, who, based on preliminary interviews, were not aware of the existence, functions, or procedures for obtaining legal aid. This activity aimed to improve community understanding of legal aid and provide information regarding access to legal services that can be utilized when facing legal problems. The activity was conducted in one meeting using a participatory approach through interactive material delivery, simple case examples, discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and evaluation. The results showed an increase in community understanding of the existence of legal aid and Posbakum, the parties eligible to receive legal aid, the forms of services available, and the initial steps that can be taken when facing legal problems. Participants also demonstrated active participation during the question-and-answer session, including discussions concerning land-related issues. However, the activity, which was conducted in only one meeting, could not reach the entire community and did not employ quantitative evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests. Therefore, legal aid socialization needs to be conducted periodically with broader participant coverage and by involving the village government and competent legal aid institutions.
