Land disputes are issues that can disrupt social relations and community harmony. These problems generally stem from unclear land boundaries, incomplete documentation, conflicting histories of possession, inheritance divisions, and transfers of rights lacking adequate administrative support. An outreach program regarding land dispute resolution was conducted in Salobulo Village, Sajoanging District, Wajo Regency, to enhance community understanding of the causes of disputes, the importance of land documents, and resolution mechanisms involving deliberation and mediation. The program activities included presentations, interactive discussions, Q&A sessions, case studies, and explanations of the dispute resolution process at the village level. The results indicate that the community gained a better understanding of the various forms of land disputes, the function of land documents, and the role of the village government as a facilitator. Residents also recognized the importance of formally recording the outcomes of deliberations in official minutes to ensure clarity and prevent future disputes. Nevertheless, the resolution process still faces challenges such as incomplete documentation, conflicting witness testimonies, and the tendency of the parties involved to prioritize their own interests. Consequently, resolving land disputes requires a balanced approach combining legal and social perspectives to achieve legal certainty, fairness, and harmonious community relations.
