Disputes regarding inheritance and marital assets are legal issues that can arise within families and the community. Such problems often stem from a lack of understanding regarding the respective rights of the parties involved, a failure to reach an agreement on the division of inheritance, uncertainty regarding the status of assets acquired during marriage, and a lack of evidence or documentation supporting asset ownership. A legal outreach program addressing inheritance and marital asset disputes was conducted in Sakkoli Village, Sajoanging District, Wajo Regency, to enhance public understanding of the distinctions between inheritance and marital assets, the rights of the parties involved, and methods for resolving disputes—specifically through deliberation, mediation, and legal channels. The activity employed various methods, including material presentations, discussions, Q&A sessions, and the analysis of issues related to the division of family assets. The results indicate that participants gained a better understanding of the definitions of inheritance and marital assets, the parties entitled to them, the importance of supporting documentation, and the procedural steps for resolving conflicts. This initiative aims to raise legal awareness within the community, encouraging dispute resolution that is orderly and fair, prioritizes deliberation, and preserves family harmony.
