This study aims to map the spatial distribution of batik industries in Tasikmalaya City and to analyze their implications for development geography. The study employed a descriptive quantitative approach combined with spatial analysis using ArcGIS 10.8, field observations, interviews with industry actors, and Nearest Neighbor Analysis (NNA). The results from 10 batik industry units show that the industries tend to be spatially concentrated and form a clustered pattern, particularly in Cipedes and Indihiang Districts, especially in the Nagarasari, Cigeureung, and Ciroyom areas. This pattern is associated with the proximity among industry units, accessibility to major road networks, the availability of local labor, and the ease of product distribution. The spatial concentration of batik industries has the potential to support the formation of creative economy clusters and strengthen local economic activities; however, it also indicates that industrial development has not been evenly distributed across Tasikmalaya City. These findings highlight the importance of spatial mapping as a basis for developing batik industry clusters and supporting more equitable and sustainable creative-economy-based regional development planning.
