This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of using diorama-assisted learning materials to improve fifth grade SD Negeri Kauman 1 Malang students' comprehension of basic crawl swimming strokes. The researchers conducted a quantitative study with a pre-experimental design using a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. The sample population for the research was made up of 27 fifth grade students selected by means of saturated sampling. Data were collected by means of achievement tests, direct observation, and documentation, and the change in the students' performance was calculated using the N-Gain formula, which determines how much improvement in performance there was from pre-test to post-test scores using diorama media as a means of creating interest in the material. Based on the results, the average pretest score of 88.33 improved to an average posttest score of 96.66 following the application of the diorama media. Furthermore, the mean N-Gain was found to be 0.63. Furthermore, the learning media promoted greater student involvement during lessons, reflected in higher levels of attention, enthusiasm, and participation. Therefore, diorama-based instructional media can serve as a practical and engaging teaching alternative in elementary physical education, particularly in learning activities related to crawl-stroke swimming.
