Unmanaged cow manure can cause environmental pollution and fail to provide added value to the community. This Community Service Program aims to improve the knowledge and skills of the Penebel Berlian Food Security Group in processing cow manure into solid organic fertilizer as an effort to support sustainable agriculture. Implementation methods include observing and identifying the partners’ needs, providing outreach, conducting hands-on training in solid organic fertilizer production, assisting with the composting process, and conducting evaluations through pre-tests, post-tests, and observations of participants’ skills. The results of the program showed that participants’ knowledge of processing cow manure into organic fertilizer increased by more than 80%, while more than 80% of participants were able to independently produce solid organic fertilizer. The program also produced approximately 100 kg of solid organic fertilizer in a single production cycle, with the characteristics of mature compost: dark brown in color, crumbly in texture, and odorless. In addition, organic fertilizer production units have been established at the community group level, which support the sustainability of these activities and increase the utilization of cow manure to more than 90%. This program has strengthened community capacity, reduced livestock waste, and supported the adoption of sustainable agriculture through more effective and economically valuable use of local resources.
