This study was motivated by the low English vocabulary mastery of fifth-grade students at SDK Karawatung, which was related to conventional teaching methods and teaching materials that were less contextual to students' rural lives. The study aimed to describe the implementation and results of a local wisdom-based Video-Based Learning (VBL) method in improving English vocabulary mastery. This research employed Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles involving 13 fifth-grade students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and tests, then analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis and simple descriptive quantitative statistics. The results showed that the method improved both learning activity and vocabulary mastery. Classical mastery increased from 30.76% in the pre-action stage, with a class average of 53.84, to 46.15% in Cycle I with an average of 62.30, and reached 100% in Cycle II with an average of 86.92. Student activity increased from 68.33% in Cycle I to 81.66% in Cycle II, while teacher activity increased from 75% to 93.33%. The findings indicate that integrating familiar local cultural contexts, particularly Hedung dance and Jagung Titi, into video-based learning can make English vocabulary learning more concrete, meaningful, and engaging for elementary school students.
