The purpose of this research is to examine how the village head contributes to improving employee job satisfaction at Makmur Village Office. The research employed a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. Key informants consisted of the Village Head, Village Secretary, Heads of Affairs, and village employees as the main subjects. Data analysis was conducted through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, focusing on leadership practices in communication, motivation, recognition, and employee development. Findings reveal that employee job satisfaction is primarily influenced not by physical facilities, but by supportive, guiding, and participatory leadership. The village head acts as a role model, communicator, motivator, and facilitator, encouraging employees to grow through training and work experience. Harmonious relationships, a spirit of cooperation, and a family-like atmosphere are the main factors strengthening job satisfaction among village staff. The study suggests gradually improving office facilities, maintaining participatory leadership styles, and expanding training opportunities for village employees. Furthermore, district and regency governments are expected to provide additional support in the form of training, mentoring, and facilities to enhance the quality of public services at the village level.
