This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of integrating traditional games into contextual Physical Education, Sports, and Health learning for students in the Merapi disaster-prone area. The research design followed a quantitative one-group pretest posttest design as stipulated in the proposal. For the purposes of drafting the manuscript, the analysis used simulated data from 80 students from four schools in Cangkringan. The instrument consisted of six motor aspects with a performance scale of 1–4. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, paired-sample t-test, gain score, and Cohen's d. In the simulated data, the average motor score increased from 2.64 to 2.99, with a gain of 0.35 and a significant difference, t (79) =11.95, p<0.001, d=1.34. Student and teacher responses indicated high acceptance. This manuscript presents a more detailed discussion by referring to the physical literacy framework, contextual learning based on local wisdom, and school-based disaster preparedness literature to explain the mechanisms and relevance of the findings. Empirical conclusions should be confirmed using actual field data.
