Abstract

Students at SMP Negeri 8 Magelang could access learning materials only during teacher-led classes, and only two of 24 classrooms had active projectors. This community service activity aimed to develop educational podcasts across subjects as a flexible digital learning alternative. Using a participatory action method and cross-disciplinary collaboration, Universitas Tidar’s Integrated Educational Internship (MKT) team worked with the school through five stages: preparation, content planning, production, post-production, and publication. Content covered previously taught materials: descriptive text, Chapter 1 “Nice to Meet You!”, integers, and the digestive system. Four episodes of the “Kelas dalam Suara” podcast were produced for Indonesian, English, Mathematics, and Science. Recorded on 8–15 September 2026, the episodes were uploaded to the school’s official YouTube channel by its manager. Students can replay learning materials outside class hours, including when preparing for tests, while teachers gain additional learning media. To maintain the podcasts’ usefulness, the school needs to update content and produce further episodes. Further evaluation is needed to assess how frequently students use the podcasts and how much they support understanding.
