The Sei Bingai I Bridge in Binjai City is a steel truss bridge that was inaugurated in 1997 and requires a re-design study due to the increase in vehicle activity in the surrounding area. This study aims to determine the superstructure load, steel profile dimensions, and the diameter and number of connection bolts. Primary data were obtained through direct measurements, while secondary data came from literature studies. Loading refers to SNI 1725:2016, steel design to SNI 1729:2020, and concrete to SNI 2847:2019. Internal force analysis was carried out using SAP2000. The design maintains the warren truss type with a span of 55 m and a design width of 7 m. The design results in a 200 mm thick floor slab with D16–200 main reinforcement and D12–200 split reinforcement. The longitudinal girders used WF 700.300.15.28, the transverse girders WF 900.300.18.34, the upper members WF 400.400.45.70, and the lower and diagonal members WF 400.400.30.50. The wind ties used L 250.250.20. The main frame connections used 44 upper member bolts and 28 diagonal bolts with a diameter of 24 mm. The inter-girder connections used eight bolts with a diameter of 22 mm, while the wind ties used four bolts with a diameter of 16 mm. The bolts used A325 quality. The study was limited to the upper structure without considering earthquake loads and construction costs.
