The community service activity entitled “Improving Youth Knowledge through Tajhizul Mayit Training in Siboris Lombang Village” was conducted as an effort to improve young people's knowledge and skills in performing funeral rites according to Islamic teachings. Funeral rites are an obligation in Islam that include washing, shrouding, performing the funeral prayer, and burying the deceased. However, in practice, some young people still have limited knowledge and skills regarding the proper procedures for managing the deceased. This activity was conducted on July 23, 2026, from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. local time, at Subulussalam Mosque, Siboris Lombang Village, Barumun Tengah District, Padang Lawas Regency. The training used several methods, including material presentation, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and question-and-answer sessions concerning the procedures of tajhizul mayit. Participants were provided with explanations about washing, shrouding, performing the funeral prayer, and burying the deceased according to Islamic principles. The results showed an improvement in the participants' understanding and enthusiasm throughout the training. Participants gained not only theoretical knowledge but also practical experience that can serve as preparation when they are needed to assist in funeral services within the community. This activity demonstrates that tajhizul mayit training can be an effective means of strengthening youth knowledge, skills, and readiness to fulfill social and religious responsibilities in the community.
