This study examines the effectiveness of picture flashcards in developing Arabic speaking skills, focusing on students' use of adverbs and prepositions, among fourth-grade students at Al-Ikhlas Islamic Elementary School, Cipadu. Using a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design, the sample comprised 37 students (19 experimental, 18 control). An independent samples t-test showed no significant difference between the groups before treatment (Sig. = 0.254), but a significant difference favoring the experimental group afterward (t = 7.042, Sig. = 0.000). By post-test, 84% of experimental students reached the “high” category, compared to only 56% of control students who remained “low.” N-Gain analysis confirmed this pattern: medium-to-high gain for the experimental group (0.58) versus low gain for the control group (0.25). Flashcards proved highly effective in enriching vocabulary, fluency, motivation (93%), and participation (95%).
