This study aims to determine the effect of using animated video-based learning media on the critical thinking skills of elementary school students. A quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design was employed, involving two groups, namely an experimental group and a control group. The study sample consisted of 64 fifth-grade students from classes VA and VB at SDIT An Najah. Data were collected through pretest and posttest assessments designed to measure students’ critical thinking skills before and after the learning process. The experimental group received instruction using animated video-based learning media, while the control group participated in learning activities without the same treatment. The collected data were then analyzed to identify differences in critical thinking skills between the two groups. The results showed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. This finding was supported by the Independent Samples T-Test, which produced a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. Descriptively, the experimental group demonstrated a greater increase in scores compared to the control group. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the use of animated video-based learning media has a significant effect on improving the critical thinking skills of elementary school students.
