Abstract

Every student's behavior, consciously or not, is always colored by values that come from the concept of religion he believes in, and always tries to instill these religious values in order to live in himself and others. Through religious education it is hoped that it can encourage students to obey their religious teachings in their daily life and make religion the ethical and moral foundation in their personal, family, community, national and state life. The problems of Islamic religious education in public schools seem to be placed in second place when compared to other subjects. Most of the students do not pay attention to focus on studying Islamic religious education. This problem is none other than the fundamental cause because Islamic religious education does not include lessons at the UN, student behavior is not a measure of starting only based on cognitive, limited hours of Islamic religious education in schools.

Abstract

Education is a process that is carried out consciously or deliberately in order to increase knowledge, insight and experience to determine life goals so that they can have a broad view towards a better future and with education itself can create quality people. As Western theory, educators in Islam are people who are responsible for the development of their students by trying to develop all the potential of students, both affective (feeling), cognitive (creativity), and psychomotor (intention) potential. Education is a cultural process to enhance human dignity that lasts a lifetime. Education is always developing, and always faced with changing times. Such is the cycle of development of change in education, otherwise education will be left behind by the changing times that are so fast. For that change in education must be relevant to changing times and the needs of society in that era, so it is important to design as early as possible which can be outlined in the Vision, Mission, Objectives and Functions of Islamic Education

Abstract

Abstract

This article aims to examine the role and position of the Majelis Taklim as a non-formal educational institution that has religious characteristics held by the community. Majelis Taklim has a very strategic role in carrying out one of its functions to educate and provide services to the people. The strategic roles in question are the role of the Taklim Council as the ummah's educational institutions, the ummah's economic improvement institutions and the ummah's mental health institutions. To carry out this role, seeing the real conditions in Indonesia at this time, it seems that each Majelis Taklim needs to make various improvements in an effort to improve quality. These improvements can be concentrated into four fields, namely the curriculum field, the field of facilities and infrastructure, the institutional and power sector (HR). In the education legislation system, the Majelis Taklim position has a strategic place because it has a strong legal basis as a non-formal educational institution. Later, every Majelis Taklim must be registered with the Ministry in accordance with Minister of Religion Regulation No. 29 of 2019 concerning the Majelis Taklim. The reason for the implementation of this policy is to facilitate the Ministry of Religion RI in registering and providing assistance to the Majelis Taklim.

Abstract

Islamic civilization had record as a gold in the trajectory of the world history due to the development of science and technology. The enthusiasm and motivation for knowledge from the Qur’an and Hadits as a source of inspiration for Moslems made the spirit driving the rise of Islamic civilization at that time, marked by the development of science and technology. In its development, of course the emergence of science and technology in the Islamic world cannot be separated from the science and technology institutions that make the biggest contribution. This paper tries to describe several educational institutions such as hospital libraries and observatories as institutions that contribute to the development of science and technology at that time. The existence of a library is not only a place to read its name as well as to study research and also to discuss science and technology as well as the existence of a hospital not only as a place for birds but also to be a place for medical science practice and no less important

Abstract

This paper examines the civilization of pre-Islamic Arab society, which can be said to be a fairly dark civilization. How could the events that happened there were really sad, such as: idols who are powerless to worship, a cruel government that doesn't pay attention to its people, women like there is no value, married at will without any restrictions on polygamy, just as anyone can gather, and etc. For more details, this paper will explain in more detail.                                                               Keywords: Civilization, Arab Society, Pre-Islam

Abstract

This article aims to uncover the treasures of the yellow book in a historical perspective. The methodology used in this article is the research methodology putaka or libraryresearch. The authors conclude that there are at least three characters in the writer of the 20th century who wrote the Yellow Book. Firstly, namely Ahmad Khatib (d. 1915) Minangkabau Indonesia- -bapak Islamic reformers who also was a disciple of Sheikh Bantani Nawawi (d. 1896). Second, Kyai Mahfouz Termas (d. 1919-20). The third was Muhammad Hasyim Asy'ari (1287-1366 / 1870-1947). There are two important points to explain the position and significance of the Yellow Book in schools. The first point, the authenticity of the Yellow Book for pesantren is a reference to abortion has been unquestionable. The fact that the Yellow Book was written long ago and continues to be used from time to time indicate that the book has been verified in history. The second point, Yellow Book is very important for schools to facilitate the process of deep religious understanding so as to formulate a fresh explanation but not ahistorical about the teachings of Islam, the Qur'an and Hadith. A brief description of the tradition over the Yellow Book shows how schools as an institution needs to work hard to maintain his identity while continuing to hold the development of tradition and orientation.

Abstract

Pesantren is an educational institution that has a long and unique history. Historically, pesantren were among the earliest Islamic educational institutions and still survive today. In contrast to educational institutions that emerged later, pesantren have been very instrumental in printing ulama cadres and then play an active role in the spread of Islam and the transfer of knowledge. However, in its development the pesantren has undergone a transformation that allows it to lose its identity if its traditional values are not preserved. Today the existence of pesantren has experienced such a development that the intended components are increasingly increasing and equipped with infrastructure and facilities. In its growth history, pesantren have undergone several phases of development including the existence of pesantren specifically mixing with these developments. This paper simply discusses the modernization of Islamic education in pesantren, which then reinforces it with the objectives, curriculum, human resources, learning methods, institutions, infrastructure and facilities and the resulting changes.
