Aceh is a province rich in vast natural resources and stunning natural beauty, offering tourism potential that attracts many visitors. Key attractions include marine and cultural tourism, distributed across the province's various regencies. This project aims to design a rental accommodation facility featuring amenities for relaxation, exercise, and sightseeing, allowing guests to enjoy the natural beauty surrounding Lhoknga Beach in Lhoknga District, Aceh Besar Regency. The site is located at Jl. Banda Aceh-Meulaboh, Km. 17.5, Mon Ikeun, Lhoknga District, Aceh Besar Regency, Aceh 23116. The Lhoknga Beach Resort design adopts a "contextual architecture" theme; here, this approach prioritizes functional and economic comfort—emphasizing symmetry, order, and simplicity—over mere imitation of nature or purely artistic expression. This is reflected in the building's form, which tapers toward the shoreline—fitting the site's position between two low cliffs—and in the integration of existing surrounding vegetation. The design process involved functional, environmental, and architectural analyses, utilizing a radial-concentric system. The resort features a multi-mass layout comprising 91 guest units. The site area is approximately 21,200 m² (2.1 hectares), with a Building Coverage Ratio (BCB) of 40% (8,480 m²) and a Floor Area Ratio (FAR) of 2 (total floor area of 74,200 m²). Planned facilities include a reception area, restaurant, multifunction room, recreational facilities, guest rooms and cottages, management offices, a prayer room (mushalla), housekeeping and laundry services, a security department, and parking areas.
