Abstract

Women's fiqh literacy is an important part of Islamic education because it is related to the ability of Muslim adolescents to understand the laws of menstruation, istihadhah, and fascism, which have direct implications for the implementation of worship. However, students' understanding of these three materials is still limited, potentially leading to misconceptions in daily worship practices. This study aims to analyze women's fiqh literacy among Indonesian Muslim adolescents at the Sungai Mulia 5 Guidance Center in Kuala Lumpur and to identify the role of learning in improving their understanding. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and SaldaƱa model, which includes data condensation, data presentation, and drawing and verifying conclusions. The results showed that before the learning, most students only understood the basic concepts of women's fiqh and still experienced misconceptions in differentiating menstruation, istihadhah, and fascism and their legal implications for worship. After participating in the learning, students were able to explain the characteristics of each type of blood, calculate the menstrual cycle independently, and determine the provisions of worship in accordance with fiqh law. Learning conducted through interactive lectures, discussions, Q&A sessions, and case studies also increased student participation in the learning process. This research shows that women's fiqh literacy learning contributes to strengthening students' conceptual understanding and practical skills in performing religious duties in accordance with sharia.
