This study aims to analyze the effect of experience using Artificial Intelligence (AI) on self‑efficacy and academic dishonesty among students in the Building Information Modeling and Design (DPIB) Expertise Program at SMK Negeri 1 Singosari. The study employed a quantitative explanatory approach, with a sample of 103 students selected through stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using SEM‑PLS. The results indicate that experience using AI has a positive and significant effect on self‑efficacy, a negative but insignificant effect on academic dishonesty, and that self‑efficacy has a positive and significant effect on academic dishonesty. These findings emphasize the importance of utilizing AI coupled with digital literacy and ethical awareness in learning. In addition, the study highlights the relevance of integrating technological experience into educational practices, encouraging students to develop confidence, responsibility, and integrity. The implications suggest that schools should design programs that foster ethical digital skills and strengthen students’ readiness for future innovation.
