Abstract

Abstract: This research focused to find out level of compliance and effect of research attitude on the level of research urgency. Data analysis used simple linear regression 115 respondents. The research instrument used Likert scale from ATR to measure research attitude, Level of Research Urgensity instrument was developed. The results of analysis found significant linear relationship and effect between research attitude and level of research urgency of 56.7% and 43.3% influenced by other factors. So, that have to do further research on exploratory factors that affect level of research urgency in order to improve quality of research and accelerate study period.Abstrak: Penelitian ini difokuskan untuk mengetahui secara detail tingkat pemenuhan dan pengaruh research attitude terhadap level of research urgensity dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linear sederhana pada 115 responden. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan skala likert empat poin dari ATR untuk mengukur research attitude, instrumen Level of Research Urgensity dikembangkan secara mandiri. Hasil analisis diketahui terdapat hubungan linear signifikan serta pengaruh antara research attitude dan level of research urgensity sebesar 56,7% dan 43,3% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Jadi, perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut tentang eksplor faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap level of research urgensity guna meningkatkan kualitas penelitian dan akselerasi masa studi mahasiswa.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan kordinator pekerja bangunan wilayah Karangbesuki  dan kordinator wilayah Sumbersari  bahwa para pekerja bangunan di wilayahnya sama sekali tidak pernah dilatih tentang K3, lebih-lebih K3 dalam penggunaan alat kerja mesin konstruksi.   Pengenalan K3 hanya diberikan sepintas oleh mandor atau oleh pekerja senior saat akan menggunakan alat-alat kerja mesin. Dengan kondisi pemahaman dan ketrampilan K3 yang rendah maka tidak mengherankan sering terjadi kecelakaan kerja saat menggunakan alat kerja mesin.  Berpijak pada paparan analisis situasi di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa para pekerja  bangunan di Wilayah sekitar kampus I UM  belum memiliki pengetahuan dan ketrampilan dalam penerapan K3 pada penggunaaan alat kerja mesin pada proyek Konruksi.  Dengan demikian masalah pokok kegiatan ini dirumuskan sebagai berikut:  Para pekerja bangunan  bangunan di Wilayah Malang memerlukan pembinaan  pengetahuan dan ketrampilan tentang  penerapan K3 pada penggunaaan alat kerja mesin pada proyek Konstruksi. Untuk memecahkan masalah rendahnya/kurangnya pengetahuan dan ketrampilan para pekerja bangunan terkahap K3 penggunaaan alat-alat mesin pada proyek konstruksi dengan beberapa solusi sebagai berikut: (l)  Pelatihan dan(2)  pendampingan lapapangan. Pada akhir kegiatan peserta diharapkan memiliki pengetahuan dan ketrampilan dalam penerapan K3 dalam penggunaaan alat-alat mesin pada proyek konstruksi. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi persepsi peserta terhadap indikator kesesuain/relevansi  materi pelatihan dengan kebutuhan peserta, ketekunan peserta mengikuti pelatihan, kualitas materi pelatihan dan  kompetensi fasilitator, termasuk kategori  baik.  Pada sisi lain telah terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta secara signifikan terhadap manajemen risiko, hal ini nampak dari kemampuan peserta dalam membuat rancangan implementasi manajemen risiko proyek konstruksi.

Abstract

The development of housing infrastructure in Indonesia, including in Tegal Gondo Village, Karangploso, Malang, has attracted people to develop multiple levels house. However, the fluctuating soil conditions (groundwater level fluctuating) became a problem because several houses had cracks in the sloof and walls. Therefore, shallow foundation planning needs to be done by considering the reduction coefficient of soil bearing capacity. This research involved field data collection, laboratory testing, and analysis using Plaxis Version 8.2 software and manual calculations using the Terzaghi formula. The results showed a φR value (reduced soil carrying capacity) of 0.64 at a depth of -1.00 m, and a φR value of 0.55 at a depth of -2.00 m.

Abstract

The rapid development of infrastructure in Indonesia, especially in the field of housing, has made people interested in developing multi-level housing, including in Tegal Gondo Village, Karangploso District, Malang Regency because of its geographical location which borders Malang City and has great potential as a supporting area. However, the condition of the soil which has very varied fluctuations (rising and falling) of the ground water level during the rainy and dry seasons is considered dangerous because several houses showed cracks in the sloof and walls during the initial study. So it is necessary to plan the reduction coefficient of soil bearing capacity for planning shallow foundations for simple dwellings. This planning was translated into three stages of activity, namely data collection, laboratory testing, and data processing using Plaxis Version 8.2 software which was confirmed using manual calculations using the Terzaghi formula. Variations in soil depth were taken at -1.00 m and -2.00 m with a 1.00 x 1.00 square shallow foundation design model. The results of the researchyielded a φR value (reduction number of bearing capacity) of 0.64 from an average bearing capacity of 66.13 tons/m2 at a depth of -1.00 m. In addition, at a depth of -2.00 m it has a φR value (reduction number of bearing capacity) of 0.55 from an average carrying capacity of 105.78 tons/m2.

Abstract

Serapan lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) yang rendah sebagai salah satu indikasi relevansi pendidikan SMK belum baik. Relevansi dapat berarti kedalaman materi pembelajaran. Relevansi kedalaman dapat diakibatkan kurangnya peningkatan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi, kreativitas dan memecahkan masalah. Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir dapat dilakukan secara bertahap melalui penilaian yang tepat. Soal sebagai alat penilaian perlu dibuat dan dikembangkan oleh guru secara benar. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam membuat soal pilihan ganda berbasis ketrampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS). Solusi yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru SMK dalam membuat soal pilihan ganda HOTS adalah melalui pelatihan. Pelatihan dilakukan terhadap sejumlah 30 guru SMK, selama tujuh kali pertemuan pada bulan Juli hingga September 2023. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa melalui pelatihan terjadi meningkatkan kemampuan professional guru SMK dalam membuat soal pilihan ganda HOTS sebesar 23 persen dan menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan. The low uptake of Vocational High School (SMK) graduates as an indication of the relevance of vocational education has not been good. Relevance can mean depth of learning material. Relevance depth can result from a lack of improved higher-order thinking skills, creativity and problem solving. Improvement of thinking skills can be done gradually through proper assessment. Questions as an assessment tool need to be created and developed by the teacher correctly. The purpose of this activity is to improve teachers’ ability to make multiple-choice questions based on higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). The solution to improve the ability of SMK teachers in making HOTS multiple-choice questions is through training. The training was conducted on a total of 30 vocational teachers, during seven meetings from July to September 2023. The results of the activity showed that through the training there was an increase in the professional ability of vocational teachers in making HOTS multiple-choice questions by 23 percent and showed a significant improvement.

Abstract

Rendahnya penyerapan lulusan SMK di lapangan pekerjaan kemungkinan sebagai akibat dari relevansi pendidikan dalam kemampuan memecahkan masalah. Akar dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah adalah ketrampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS). Peningkatan HOTS dapat dilakukan melalui penerapan soal ujian HOTS. Penerapan ujian ini dapat dilakukan bila guru telah mempunyai kemampuan yang baik dalam membuat soal HOTS. Karena kemampuan guru dalam membuat soal HOTS belum baik, maka diperlukan adanya peningkatan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam membuat stimulus dan soal pilihan ganda HOTS setelah penerapan model gabungan sharing, praktik, tutorial, dan presentasi hasil. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan quasi eksperimen one group pretes-postes. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam membuat stimulus sebesar 27,57 persen dan signifikan, serta peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam membuat soal pilihan ganda HOTS sebesar 33,34 persen dan signifikan. Secara umum dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model gabungan sharing, praktik, tutorial, dan presentasi hasil dapat meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam membuat soal pilihan ganda berbasis HOTS secara signifikan.

Abstract

Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is a serious health problem in Indonesia with the Aedes aegypti mosquito as the main vector. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of sugar solution-based mosquito traps in reducing mosquito populations at SD Ummu Aiman. The traps were made using simple materials and then distributed to the school's mosquito-prone areas. Socialization and education were conducted for teachers through presentations, questions and answers, and hands-on practice of making the traps. Their effectiveness was evaluated through an online questionnaire. The results showed a significant reduction in the frequency of mosquito presence after trap installation, with an increase in respondents who no longer encountered mosquitoes from 5 percent to 25 percent. 85 percent of respondents considered the traps effective and safe, and the majority were willing to implement them in their area. The program successfully increased teachers' knowledge and engagement in mosquito control, despite facing constraints such as limited time, resources, and odor from the traps. Continuous support and regular evaluation are expected to increase the effectiveness and acceptance of this innovation. The sugar solution-based mosquito trap innovation is expected to be an environmentally friendly and sustainable solution for dengue vector control in schools.

Abstract

Vocational education seeks to prepare students with practical skills aligned with industry needs. One critical area is Building Modeling Design and Information (DPIB), which encompasses the development of digital learning media focused on construction utilities and plumbing systems. At SMK Negeri 11 Malang, student comprehension of this material has remained limited due to the lack of interactive media and restricted access to computing devices. This study aimed to design and implement a learning tool using Articulate Storyline software to improve students' understanding. Adopting a Research and Development (R&D) methodology, the study followed the ADDIE model for instructional design. Validation results indicated the media was highly feasible, with an average score above 80%. Effectiveness testing revealed a notable increase in student comprehension and learning motivation, with over 85% of participants responding positively. The media demonstrated strong potential to boost engagement and conceptual grasp. Future studies are encouraged to expand interactivity and incorporate game-based features to further enhance learning outcomes.

Abstract

Safety education for elementary school students is essential for preparing them for emergencies and preventing casualties. However, SD Ummu Aiman, an elementary school in Malang with 653 students, was inadequately equipped in terms of both infrastructure and knowledge to respond effectively in emergencies. This community service initiative aimed to enhance the school’s emergency preparedness and evacuation system by providing evacuation infrastructure, conducting awareness training, simulating emergency drills, and promoting a safety culture through safety induction aimed at fostering behaviour-based safety. The awareness training resulted in an average increase in knowledge of 15.1 points among 53 teachers (p-value < 0.001), and evacuations were completed in under three minutes. It is anticipated that the knowledge and skills transferred to the teachers will be conveyed to the students, who are crucial for developing readiness for emergencies and fostering a safety-minded society in the future.
