This study analyzes the comparison of stability between Islamic banks and conventional banks in Indonesia using the financial indicators CAR, NPF, FDR, and ROA for the period 2019-2024. This period was chosen because it is crucial for the banking sector. The approach used is a quantitative method using secondary data from the banks' annual financial statements. The sample was determined by targeted selection, resulting in 11 Islamic banks and 14 conventional banks being selected. The analysis was performed using a descriptive statistical approach and the Mann-Whitney test. The results show that Islamic banks are superior in terms of CAR and ROA, indicating better capital strength and profitability. However, conventional banks are superior in terms of NPF. In terms of liquidity, both types of banks are relatively balanced. The Mann-Whitney test confirmed significant differences in the CAR variable, but not in NPF, FDR, and ROA. These results have practical implications for bank management to strengthen risk management strategies. In addition, the research findings can serve as a reference for regulators and other stakeholders to formulate adaptive supervisory policies to maintain national financial stability.
