This research aims to examine the influence of gender equality in human resource management (HRM) on employee performance, with job satisfaction as the mediating variable. This research involved 363 respondents from a total population of 7,126 civil servants in Indragiri Hilir Regency. The respondents were selected using a simple random sampling technique and Krivjcie & Morgan's (1970) formula. The data were analysed descriptively using SPSS and verifiably using Smart PLS. The results demonstrated that gender equality in human resource management practices has a significant positive effect on performance, with job satisfaction acting as a mediating variable that strengthens the relationship. The findings emphasise the importance of equitable and inclusive HR policies in enhancing job satisfaction and overall organisational performance.
