The increase in the number of delayed marriages is an indication that marriage is no longer a special priority for middle-aged women. On the other side, middle adulthood is a crisis period marked by feelings of loneliness and boredom. This article aims to review previous research on the description of psychological well-being in unmarried middle-aged women. The review procedure was carried out on seven research results published between 2015 and 2023 with the keywords "psychological well-being" and "single adult women". Respondents in the data collected were middle adult women with an age range of 40-60 years who had never been married. The results of the review show that marital status is not a measure of individual psychological well-being and that psychological well-being depends on the fulfillment of the six basic dimensions. The main factors for the psychological well-being of middle-aged women in Indonesia cannot be separated from the support of parents and the surrounding environment, spirituality and individual work.
