The research aims to determine the significant effect of picture cards in the problem-based learning model on the science learning outcomes of third-grade students at SDN 026602 Binjai in the 2025/2026 Academic Year. The research method used was a quasi-experimental study with a quantitative approach. The research design was a nonequivalent control group design. The sample in this study was 23 students from class III A as the experimental class and 21 students from class III B as the control class at SDN 026602 Binjai. Data collection techniques in this study were tests and observations. Based on the data analysis, the pretest results for the control class showed an average score of 53.57, while the experimental class achieved an average score of 53.04. Meanwhile, the posttest results for the control class showed an average score of 74.52, while the experimental class achieved an average score of 81.96. The results of the hypothesis test using the Independent Samples t-test showed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.007 < 0.05, thus H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. Furthermore, the average student learning outcomes in the experimental class were higher than those in the control class, with a Mean Difference value of 7,433. These findings indicate a significant effect of the use of picture cards combined with the Problem-Based Learning model on the science learning outcomes of third-grade students at SDN 026602 Binjai in the 2025/2026 academic year.
