Physics education in senior high schools faces challenges in deconstructing abstract concepts and complex mathematical formalizations, which often trigger student learning resistance. This study aims to comprehensively examine the effectiveness of educational video media in improving physics concept understanding among senior high school students. The method employed was a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature review design. Data were gathered using a data synthesis matrix sheet instrument on ten peer-reviewed scientific articles published between 2019 and 2026, followed by a content analysis technique. The scientific findings indicate that integrating animation and visual simulation-based educational videos consistently delivers a significant positive impact on elevating conceptual understanding scores, cognitive learning outcomes, and long-term knowledge retention. Educational videos proved effective in reducing misconceptions in abstract subject clusters (mechanics, statics, hydrodynamics) by concretizing invisible variables through balanced visual and auditory channels. In conclusion, the optimal effectiveness of educational videos is concretely achieved when synergistically integrated into student-centered learning models, such as Problem-Based Learning and Project-Based Learning
