Abstract

The aim of the research was to determine the effectivity of implementation of e-learning science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (E-STEM) project-based learning model in teaching science to improve information, communication, and technology (ICT) literacy and problem solving. The study adopted quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design. E-STEM project-based learning model was applied in experimental classroom, while the control classroom applied conventional teaching. The sample was 46 students who was selected using cluster sampling method. They were in grade VIII academic year 2020/2021 which representing the population students of Junior High School 8, in Aceh Besar, Indonesia. The data were collected using test instrument and questionnaires. Validity verification of instrument measured based on Aiken index, while instrument reliability was determined based on Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. The data were analyzed using Manova and descriptive quantitative. The result of the study showed that there is meaningful difference of ICT literacy and problem solving mean score based on the difference of both teaching approach. It is concluded that the implementation of E-STEM project-based learning model and problem solving in teaching science has significant impact in increasing ICT literacy and problem solving.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatahui penerapan laboratorium virtual terhadap hasil belajar fisika pada materi rangkaian arus bolak balik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan populasi yaitu seluruh siswa kelas XIII SMA Negeri Abulyatama. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik Purpose Sampling dengan desain yang digunakan nonrandommized control group pre-test post-test. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui pemberian tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data yang telah dilakukan dengan menggunakan statistic uji t, pada taraf signifikan α = 0,05 diperoleh t hitung = 4,30 dan t tabel  dengan taraf signifikan α = 0,05 dan dk = 51 = 1,69 sehingga t hitung >t tabel. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima.Berdasarkan hasil ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan  yang signifikan antara belajar dengan  Laboratorium Virtual terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas XII di SMAN 1 Abulyatama.

Abstract

This research is aiming at describing learners’ attitude of caring the environment at SMA Negeri 1 Indrapuri Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Descriptive quantitative is the research method used in this study in the effort of describing learners’ attitude of caring the environment through the use of questionnaire as the research instrument. This questionnaire contains of three indicators, those are (1) maintaining cleanliness and environmental sustainability; (2) planning of environmental damage prevention activities, and (3) managing the natural resources. The results showed that: the attitude of environmental caring by students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Indrapuri Aceh Besar district is in good category that is 62.87%. The highest value of 69.3% is in the indicator of natural resource management, in the indicator of maintaining cleanliness and environmental sustainability, it shows 60.93% and the lowest value is 58.4% in the indicator of planning for environmental damage prevention activities. It has been proved through the results of the questionnaire that most students choose answers agree. Based on the observations, it can be seen that teachers always encourage students to always maintain the cleanliness of their classroom environment, for example by always throwing trash in their place, giving an appeal to students to always arrange daily class hygiene schedule and doing mutual cooperation routinely.

Abstract

PhET Simulation is a free software created by the University of Colorado in the United States. The learning process by using this PhET simulation students can study certain material directly independently by using a computer which is equipped with the PhET program. The method in writing this article uses qualitative research methods. The data that has been collected is then analyzed so that it can be concluded that; 1) PhET simulation is an effective learning medium to increase student learning effectiveness; 2) The PhET simulation can help students learn without having to use a real laboratory; 3) by utilizing phet simulation media it is also able to improve students' ICT literacy skills; 4) How to use the PhET simulation is very easy and understandable according to the science lesson material; 5) The PhET simulation can be used for independent study at home without having to be supervised by the teacher at school.

Abstract

The New Normal according to Islam, returns to the life order of habluminallah, habluminannas and habluminala’lam. However, the most important thing is how the relationship between the new normal relates to humans and nature at the same time. This has been explained by the Prophet Muhammad in the hadith as applied at the time. The purpose of this study is to analyze and find the Sunnah backthat the Prophet Muhammad has applied to this fellow beings in this family, environment, friends and followers. The reseach method library research by analyzing the hadiths regarding the life of the Prophet during the pandemic.The results showed that he always applied attitudes; tawakkal to Allah SWT, be patient attitudes in dealing with disease outbreaks, Instilling an optimistic attitude and haqqulyaqin on all the provisions of Allah, endeavors in facing any situation. So thus our role in dealing with disease outbreaks during the New Normal period is to continue to refer to the hadiths that the Prophet conveyed during his lifetime to this friends

Abstract

ABSTRAKKegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mencegah terjadinya dampak negatif yang ditimbulkan gadget bagi anak-anak. Kegiatan ini penting dilakukan karena banyak anak-anak di Gampong Lambunot yang menggunakan gadget tidak hanya untuk belajar tetapi untuk bermain. Metode pelaksanaan dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menggunakan metode pendekatan sosialisasi yaitu ceramah, dialog, diskusi dan pemecahan masalah. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM dengan tema “Edukasi Dampak Penggunaan Gadget bagi anak-anak Gampong Lambunot” bagi anak-anak dan anggota PKK Gampong Lambunot Kec. Simpang Tiga Kab. Aceh Besar dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (a) anak-anak dan ibu-ibu mengetahui dampak positif dan negatif dari penggunaan gadget; (b) tema yang disajikan aktual sehingga para peserta sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan: (c) ibu-ibu mengetahui cara menyikapi anak-anak yang sudah kecanduan serta mengetahui cara mengatasinya; dan (d) anak-anak dapat mengatur waktu menggunakan gadget. Kata kunci: edukasi; dampak gadget; anak-anak ABSTRACTThis activity aimed to prevent the negative impact caused by gadgets on children. This activity is important because many children in Gampong Lambunot use gadgets not only to study but to play. The implementation method in this community service used a method of socialization approach, namely lectures, dialogues, discussions, and problem-solving. The results of the implementation of PKM activities with the theme "Education on the Impact of Using Gadgets for the children of Gampong Lambunot" for children and members of the PKK Gampong Lambunot Kec. District Three Intersection Aceh Besar can be concluded that: (a) children and mothers know the positive and negative impacts of using gadgets; (b) the themes presented are actual so that the participants are very enthusiastic about participating in the activities: (c) mothers know how to deal with children who are already addicted and know how to overcome them; and (d) children can manage time using gadgets. Keywords: education; the impact of gadgets; children

Abstract

ABSTRAKKegiatan sosialisasi ini dilakukan di kampung Lambunot Kab. Aceh Besar, Prov. Aceh yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 24 Agustus 2022. Tujuan pelaksanaan sosialisasi ini yaitu memberikan pemahaman kepada anak-anak akan pentingnya menjaga gigi dan mulut sehingga terhindar dari berbagai penyakit antara lain yaitu gigi berlubang, radang gusi, infeksi gusi, sariawan, dan gigi patah. Hal yang harus dilakukan untuk menjaga kesehatan gigi dan mulut yaitu menyikat gigi 2 kali sehari sebelum tidur dan sesudah sarapan, meningkatkan durasi dalam menyikat gigi selama 2 menit sehingga bisa mengangkat semua yang menempel di gigi, memilih sikat gigi yang lembut bulunya dan memilih pasta gigi yang benar. Metode yang digunakan pada saat sosialisasi yaitu metode ceramah, tanya jawab dan praktek langsung. Hasil yang didapatkan diantaranya anak-anak semakin paham bagaimana menjaga kesehatan gigi dan mulut dan mengerti bagaimana pentingnya merawat dan menjaga kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Kata kunci: kesehatan; gigi; mulut; anak-anak . ABSTRACTThis socialization activity was carried out in Lambunot Village, Kab. Aceh Besar, Prov. Aceh, which was held on August 24, 2022. The purpose of this socialization was to provide children with an understanding of the importance of taking care of their teeth and mouth so as to avoid various diseases, including cavities, gingivitis, gum infections, canker sores, and broken teeth. Things that must be done to maintain oral and dental health are brushing teeth twice a day before bed and after breakfast, increasing the duration of brushing for 2 minutes so that it can remove all that is stuck to the teeth, choosing a soft-bristled toothbrush and choosing a toothpaste that Correct. The method used at the time of socialization is the lecture method, question and answer and direct practice. The results obtained include children increasingly understand how to maintain healthy teeth and mouth and understand how important it is to care for and maintain healthy teeth and mouth. Keywords: health; teeth; mouth; children.

Abstract

Parents plays an important role in their children’s learning and development, furthermore parentsare children’s first educators, children are watching their parents and learning happens in everyday moment parents share with their children. A phenomenon that covid-19 pandemic has a major impact toward the education sector, the government has implemented a learning policy, namely learning from home. This study aims to find out what obstacles are experienced by parents while accompanying children to learn at home during covid 19 pandemic. This study employed a qualitative descriptive research method with case study approach.  The sample are nine parents whose children attended elementary school. The result of this study indicates that in general the obstacles of parent in assisting children learning from home are: First, inability to teach and explain the material properly by parents. Second, the difficulty of parent to create children enthusiastic to participate in online learning. Third, Lack of time to accompany children because they have to work and parents are impatient in accompanying children when studying at home. Fourth, parent not accustomed to using technology such as difficulties in operating gadget and computer.This research is expected to be able to explore the obstacles of parent in assisting children when learning at home so that this research is able to contribute to further researcher in exploring the solutions to these problems.

Abstract

Penelitian tentang pengembangan LKS STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) dalam Meningkatkan Motivasi  dan Aktivitas Belajar Siswa SMA Negeri 1 Beutong Pada Materi Induksi Elektromagnetik telah dilakukan. Penelitian ini  bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan motivasi dan aktivitas belajar siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan LKS STEM pada materi induksi elektromagnetik. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Beutong , semester genap Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi awal yaitu mengumpulkan data nilai ujian semester IV siswa, angket untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar siswa dan lembar observasi untuk mengetahui aktivitas siswa selama proses belajar mengajar. Hasil uji normalitas dan homogenitas menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Uji X2 untuk motivasi menunjukkan X2 hitung (29,2)  X2tabel (7.81) yang berarti dengan menggunakan LKS STEM dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, sedangkan untuk aktivitas belajar siswa menunjukkan nilai 24,95,99 yang artinya dengan menggunakan LKS STEM juga dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa.

Abstract

Alat diagnostik mata alat untuk mendiagnosa kondisi mata sebelum diambil tindakan yang merupakan bagian dari alat optik, pengertian alat optik adalah alat yang memanfaatkan sifat cahaya, hukum pemantulan, dan hukum pembiasan cahaya. Mata yang sehat adalah mata yang terbebas dari berbagai yang dapat mengganggu penglihatan seseorang. Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah dr. Zainoel Abidin Aceh, menyediakan sarana dan prasarana yang cukup memumpuni dalam menangani masalah kesehatan mata, seperti terdapat beberapa alat optik yang berada pada ruang polimata yang digunakan untuk melakukan pemeriksaan/diagostik mata. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan memberitahukan kepada masyarakat, pelajar dan mahasiswa bahwa alat yang digunakan untuk mendiagnosa mata adalah bagian dari ilmu optik. Hasil dari kegiatan ini meliputi alat optik yang digunakan seperti alat yang masih sederhana (Trial lens, Trial frame, Optotype Snellen, Snellen projector, dan Lup/kaca pembesar) maupun alat yang sudah canggih (Auto Refrakto Keratometer (ARK), Oftalmoskop, Fundus Fluorescein Angiography (FFA), Optical Cohere Tomography, USG mata, dan perimetry Oculus). Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah dr. Zainoel Abidin Aceh, memiliki fasilitas kesehatan yang lengkap beserta tenaga medisnya. Namun, yang menjadi permasalahan adalah kurang taunya masyarakat terkait alat-alat pemeriksaan yang menggunakan alat optik. Bahkan, banyak pelajar maupun mahasiswa yang masih tidak mengetahui tentang alat yang digunakan untuk pemeriksaan mata. Untuk itu, perlu dilakukan sosialisasi pengenalan terhadap beberapa alat yang terdapat di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah dr. Zainoel Abidin Aceh yang digunakan saat pemeriksaan mata.
