This study examines the strategies employed by Islamic Religious Education teachers in shaping students’ akhlakul karimah through learning discipline at SMPN 3 Jombang. The research was motivated by the decreasing level of student discipline and the importance of moral character development in the school environment. Previous studies have generally discussed moral development and learning discipline separately, while limited research specifically explores the integration of learning discipline as a medium for shaping students’ akhlakul karimah in public junior high schools. This study employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving Islamic Religious Education teachers and ninth-grade students at SMPN 3 Jombang. The findings revealed that teachers implemented several strategies, including exemplary behavior, habituation of learning discipline, motivation, advice, religious activities, and continuous supervision of students’ behavior. Supporting factors included cooperation among teachers, school regulations, and religious programs conducted at school. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors consisted of students’ lack of self-awareness, peer influence, excessive social media use, and limited parental supervision at home. The study concludes that the integration of learning discipline with Islamic character education contributes significantly to shaping students’ akhlakul karimah. This research is expected to contribute to the development of Islamic education, particularly in strengthening character education through disciplinary practices in schools.
