<![CDATA[The issue of household waste poses a significant environmental management challenge, largely due to the lack of public habit in sorting and processing waste at its source. If not managed properly, organic waste such as food scraps, fruit peels, vegetable trimmings, and dried leaves can generate unpleasant odors, attract disease vectors, and potentially pollute the environment. One alternative for managing organic waste at the household level is the use of vertical composting technology. This community service initiative aims to enhance public knowledge, skills, and participation in managing household organic waste through workshops and guidance on using vertical composters. The implementation process includes preparation, education and material delivery, demonstrations of vertical composter usage, hands-on practice, as well as ongoing support and evaluation. Evaluation is conducted through observation, discussions, interviews, and assessments of participants' knowledge and skills. The initiative is expected to improve the community's understanding and ability to independently sort and process organic waste. Furthermore, the adoption of vertical composters is intended to reduce the volume of organic waste discarded into the environment, produce organic fertilizer beneficial for plants, and foster more responsible and sustainable waste management practices.]]>
