Abstract

Geological maps at the village level are compiled using primary and secondary data, which contain descriptions of geological conditions such as types and distribution of rocks, relationships between rocks, geological structures, and others. This map is made on a scale of 1:12,000. The village geological map functions as a reference in developing village potential, especially related to mineral resources, rocks, geotourism, engineering geology, environmental geology, and as a means of learning geoscience for local students. In addition, this map can also be used as a source of information regarding potential geological disaster threats, such as earthquakes, landslides, volcanoes, tsunamis, and liquefaction. The purpose of this community service activity is to compile a geological map of Patoa Village as supporting data for accelerating village development. The compilation process is carried out through literature studies, field orientation, and geological surveys. The final result is a geological map of Patoa Village containing rock units, geological structures, and stratigraphy of the area. Based on unofficial lithostratigraphic nomenclature, it consists of a Holocene reef limestone unit, a Pliocene-Pleistocene piroclastic breccia unit, and a Pliocene-Pleistocene tuff unit.

Abstract

In general, fishing communities are considered one of the lower socioeconomic strata." Of course, not all fishermen are considered poor; there are many fishermen who are considered prosperous. This research aims to describe the perceptions of Bajo village fishermen regarding climate change. Research Location: This research will be conducted in Bajo Village, Tilamuta District, Bualemo Regency. Based on the central statistics agency, the population of this study consists of all the fishing community members obtained from BPS, totaling 399. Using the Slovin formula, with the number of fishermen in Bajo village being 399 and a margin of error of 0.05, the required sample size for this study is 199 fishermen in Bajo village, Tilamuta district. The data analysis method uses Data Analysis with the Miles and Huberman Model. The Miles and Huberman Model is applied by categorizing data from in-depth interviews and direct observations in stages to draw a conclusion. The results of this research in Bajo Village show that 75% of fishermen are aware of weather changes and their impact on fishing activities, but 52% do not yet understand the causes. Most of them only check the weather information once a week, and 24% rarely do so. The level of concern is high (90% expressed worry), and all respondents feel the need to change their way of thinking and acting. As many as 71% feel confident they can face climate change, but only 25% feel personally prepared. The adoption of new technology is very low (90% have never tried it). However, 40.5% support environmentally friendly fishing methods. Support from relevant parties is considered sufficient by the majority of fishermen, although some still feel under-supported. Most fishermen have more than 10 years of experience, and 65% believe that experience helps in preparing for weather changes. As many as 89% of fishermen believe that weather conditions are worsening, reflecting concerns about future climate impacts

Abstract

Meeting clean water needs in densely populated areas such as Ngoresan, Surakarta City, is a major challenge, especially during the dry season when well discharge declines. This community service initiative aims to enhance clean water resilience in Ngoresan through the application of groundwater drilling technology informed by geological studies. The activities include site survey, equipment installation, drilling, aquifer identification, water quality analysis, community education, and joint evaluation. Drilling identified a productive aquifer at a depth of 25.7 meters within Merapi volcanic rock, with the final well reaching 62.5 meters. Water quality analysis confirmed it is safe for consumption. Community participation in education and facility maintenance strengthens the sustainability of the program. This initiative not only provides a reliable water source but also fosters awareness of groundwater conservation and the risks of over-extraction, thereby enhancing local resilience in water availability.

Abstract

The variety of products circulating in Indonesia is extensive. Each product requires a halal label to facilitate Muslim consumers in identifying and choosing halal-certified items. Therefore, halal certification is essential to ensure the halal status of products for the public, particularly for Muslims. Halal certification is defined as the formal recognition of a product's halal status, issued by the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH) based on a written fatwa from the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI). UIN Datokarama Palu plays a role in accelerating the halal certification process by implementing a self-declare scheme. This community service activity aimed to provide information on how to apply for halal certification, particularly for micro and small business actors, through the self-declare method based on the business owner's statement. The activity was conducted through material delivery sessions and interactive question-and-answer discussions. The results were analyzed using a descriptive qualitative approach through field observation. The socialization was found to be effective in reaching business actors and enhancing their basic understanding of halal certification. Although the level of participation was high, several challenges remained, particularly in terms of technical procedures and digital literacy.
