<![CDATA[This research was motivated by the low pre-mathematical ability found in 24 out of 38 children, characterized by an insufficient understanding of number concepts and numerical symbols, difficulty in classifying colors, quantities, and sizes, as well as seriation (ordering) skills that were still at an early stage of development. This study aims to evaluate the extent to which the use of Cuisenaire rods as a learning medium affects the development of pre-mathematical ability in children aged 4-5 years at RA Jannah Al-Rayyan, Padangsidimpuan. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically a nonequivalent control group design. Data were collected through tests and documentation as supporting instruments. The research subjects consisted of 38 children aged 4-5 years enrolled as students at the school. The analysis of pretest and posttest data from the experimental group showed that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous, as confirmed by normality and homogeneity tests. The t-test results yielded a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.001, which is below the significance threshold of 0.05, leading to the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Ha) and the rejection of the null hypothesis (Ho). Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of Cuisenaire rods effectively and significantly improves pre-mathematical ability in children aged 4-5 years at RA Jannah Al-Rayyan, Padangsidimpuan City.]]>
