This study aims to describe the effect of gadget usage on the social interaction of children aged 3–6 years at SPS Kembang Kristal. This descriptive qualitative research involved 15 parents. Data were collected via qualitative questionnaires on Google Form, validated through source triangulation, and analyzed using data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. Results indicate varied usage patterns; screen time limits range from 15 minutes to 1 hour daily, but escalate to 5 hours when parents are busy with household chores. Guided usage stimulates vocabulary growth, whereas excessive exposure triggers passivity and low social initiative. Regarding peer interaction, high screen time keeps children in solitary play and causes speech delay, restricting transition toward associative and cooperative play. The study concludes that consistent parenting, active mediation, and direct active play are crucial in enhancing children's social interaction Keywords: Gadget, Social Interaction, Early Childhood, Digital Parenting, Peers
